“impeccable sense of ensemble”

We welcome the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra “Canada’s tiny, perfect chamber orchestra” (Toronto Star) for their third appearance with the CRS. Praised for their satiny sound and dynamic subtlety, the MCO’s annual Winnipeg concert season is augmented by an extensive program of touring, recording, and community outreach. The MCO commissions often, embraces a diverse repertoire, and collaborates regularly with exceptional soloists.

“truly an inspiring artist”

Ariel Barnes is one of Canada’s leading cellists, acclaimed for his dazzling technique, personal connection and probing musical insight. He mesmerizes audiences with his imaginative interpretations and commanding stage presence.

“a dynamic podium presence”

Anne Manson is recognized throughout the world for her conducting achievements. The first woman to conduct at the Salzburg Festival, she brings intelligence, musicality, versatility, and experience to all her musical endeavours.
