Bezhod Abduraimov, piano
The young Uzbek pianist Bezhod Abduraimov is taking the world’s stages by storm. Described by The Times as the “master of all he surveys” and with The Washington Post noting to “keep your ear on this one,” Bezhod Abduraimov’s captivating performances continue to receive international praise. Critics rave about his “authenticity, control and velvet pianissimo.”
Recent seasons have seen him perform with leading orchestras worldwide, such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, NHK Symphony and Leipzig Gewandhaus
orchestras, and with prestigious conductors including Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Manfred Honeck, Vasily Petrenko and Jakub Hrůša. He performed with the Munich Philharmonic in their 360 Degree Festival in 2016 and made a spectacular BBC Proms debut with them later that season.
Born in 1990, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Abduraimov is an alumnus of Park University’s International Center for Music in Missouri, where he studied with Stanislav Ioudenitch.
